Hi, I'm Margery! This is my gardening service located in Kyneton, Victoria.

I can help with all your gardening needs including:

• Mowing.

• Whipper snipping.

• Weeding.

• Pruning.

• Planting.

• Watering.

• Fertilising.

• Raking.

I can organise to have my tool trailer towed to jobs if required.

I have experience working for myself as a gardener before relocating to Kyneton. I am currently doing a Horticulture course at Kyneton Community House. My background is as a qualified Vet with a specialisation in horse medicine and management. I am in the process of becoming a registered vet again.

My Story

I was born in Brisbane and spent the first 7 years of my life on a dairy farm. My parents had to sell the property and moved to Bundaberg Qld where Dad started an excavating business. Mum also started a horse stud for performance horses and ponies.

We all started riding as babies. We competed regularly in pony club, showjumping, hacking, dressage and sporting events. I mostly enjoyed showjumping. When I was 17, I obtained my instructors certificate. We also broke in young horses for Mum.

When I was 18, I studied veterinary science to be a vet. As it is a stressful job, I decided to concentrate more on gardening and riding. 

Mum was killed by a horse kick to the chest. After that my sisters became interested in eventing and went to the NSW Equestrian Centre. They learned eventing there and ended up doing very well overseas. Prue almost won the World Championship. I went to Bowral and studied horse management and a business course while also working at a riding school.

I moved to Branxton after almost finishing my Tafe course, started a gardening business and bred horses. I competed at events on Maestro who was bred by my mother and was given to me by Prue. While I was there I studied an Equine Medicine course through the Sydney Post graduate foundation. I also got my introductory coach certificate with Prue’s help.

Unfortunately I had to move from the property I was leasing as it was being sold. I then moved to Victoria and assisted a friend with a chicken hatching business. 

She move to Tasmania so I then spent some time on a farm doing farm work, trying to set up a chook business, teaching riding and working at my horses boarding house. I now have a part time gardening job in Kyneton where I’m learning a lot.
